If I remember correctly, she's a hostage who develops a bond with one of the robbers. This is not just another medical drama, it has a heart and soul to it. Jennifer has great chemistry with the show's lead actor and it appears that there is room for her character to develop more. As a Jennifer Ferrin fan, I am so proud of her!!! She took a big risk leaving ATWT and hopefully we will be seeing more of her. At last, we finally get to see Jennifer on-screen again in “3lbs”. She has no reason to come back. She has proven what a great talent she is and this was a stepping stone into her career. I see a very fruitful future for her. I mean she already has landed a gig shortly after her exit in daytime. She got her feet wet and it is time for her to explore more options. She took the character of Jennifer Munson to new and soaring heights. They gave her a beautiful exit. Now I will admit that it was a huge risk that they took, but I'm glad they did because that was some of her finest work and she went out with a bang. Personally I rather she go out the way she did instead of coming up with some contrieved plot that went against her character. I don’t think she will come back. She has no reason to come back.
